Girls Trip to Music City (Nashville, TN)

         A couple weekends ago, my girlfriends and I finally made it to Nashville for a weekend trip that we had been talking about taking for a long time. We crammed as much as we could into the couple days that we were there. Friday after landing we crammed in some live music, and Saturday we did lots of shopping and eating and sightseeing. Sunday we did more eating and shopping and also managed to fit in the country music hall of fame. We all agreed that we wanted more time and will definitely be heading back in the near future!

Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice

        Well, as of today, it's officially fall! I'd definitely be more excited about it if it was almost 90º outside. But, I'm definitely already thinking about all the fall activities that I will be doing. Since having a kiddo, I think my favorite fall activity has become the pumpkin patch. The first two years that we went and took him we went to the same pumpkin patch and corn maze at Boone Hall Plantation. Last year their activities were highly restricted because of Covid, so we checked out a new pumpkin patch up at West Farm. 

           Cameron starts asking me in about July when pumpkin patch it, and we always look forward to getting all dressed up and taking lots of pictures. The first year we went, we had matching outfits. After that we just tried to coordinate. So here are our pumpkin patch outfits over the years. Won't be long til we get to go this year!

Giving it the boot

    Well, we officially left summer in the rearview mirror with the end of Labor Day weekend. I always have mixed feelings about this time of year. Fall is definitely my favorite season, but there is something intoxicating about the joy of summer and the freedom that comes from experiencing the sunshine, the water and the amazing memories that you've made for those warm fuzzy months. But time marches on whether we want it to or not. So here we are standing on the edge of fall whether we are ready for it or not. 

    I think that one of my favorite things about fall is the fact that I get to haul out all my different boots. I may have a slight addiction if I'm being honest. And it doesn't even matter if they are booties or tall boots: I just love them all. Living in the South, I chomp at the bit all September to pull out my booties, but usually don't pull them until October, and the tall boots come out in November, unless I'm traveling somewhere else that's colder and less tropical.
